kOOii will show new work by Sri Lankan artist Vajira Gunawardena at the Galle Art Trail 2008.
Gunawardena mostly paints brightly colored canvasses. His work is inspired by the effects of mass consumption and media on the daily lives of ordinary Sri Lankans.

These and many other works will be on view at The Old Bakery, on the corner of Lighthouse Street and Peddlers Street in the Galle Fort. Opening on Saturday 25 October.

Other artists represented by kOOii at the Galle art Trail are:
Menika Vanderpoorten (photography), Danushka Amarasekara (photography), Sujeewa Kumari (drawings), Sanjeewa Kumara (oil on canvas), Sampat Amuragama (drawings and paintings), Dumith Kulasekara (paintings) and Cora de Lang (Argentina- drawings, paintings and mixed media). In addition a seletion of kOOii original postcARTs will be for sale.


kOOii will show artwork by Argentinian born artist Cora de Lang.
